Niles is a Draconis Combine planet with a small population. It has served as a lunching point for many DCMS invasions into Davion and Outworlds Alliance occupied space. Yet, it has no major military facilities known to the

public.

AW Intel Note:  Not known the public the Aces found a Star Leauge cache of 100 Command CMD-2Ds and spare parts, on Niles. AW Forces were running from a failed raid into Draconis Combine space as contracted by Outworlds Alliance.  They took shelter in what they thought were caves and discovered a hidden cache of battlemechs and support equipment.   Review of SLDF computer banks on site mentioned a miscommunication in materiel requests by the Garrison forces on the planet who asked for 100 commandos to help quell insurgent forces.  They instead received 100 Commando CMD-2D mechs.   AW took full advantage of this and moved these mechs off planet to the nearby system of Alegro where they put them into use as trainers for their cadet cadre.
